Basketball Recap: Depew Takes a Loss

Depew was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Sasakwa Vikings and fell 70-36. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 436th, while the Vikings are ranked 161st).

Depew's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Sasakwa, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

Looking ahead, Depew will challenge Davenport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sasakwa, they will be playing at home against Macomb at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sasakwa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
