Preview: Valley Mills Eagles vs. Hamilton Bulldogs
Valley Mills has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Valley Mills is ranked 1212th, while Hamilton is ranked 1236th).
Valley Mills suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Rio Vista, falling 64-36.
Even though Hamilton has not done well against Italy recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hamilton came out on top against Italy by a score of 55-45.
Mike Bushnell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Colter Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Valley Mills' defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 9-13. As for Hamilton, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.
Valley Mills came up short against Hamilton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 51-46. Thankfully for Valley Mills, Bryson Tarpley (who scored 19 points along with three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
