Softball Recap: Providence Christian Academy LIONS vs. Cannon County Lions
Providence Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 7-2 to the Cannon County Lions.
For Cannon County's part, Alyssa Calamia was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylee Schwartz, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
The victory (which was Cannon County's third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.
Providence Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cannon County, they will head out on the road to challenge Forrest at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Cannon County is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
