Baseball Game Preview: Luther Prep Phoenix vs. Catholic Central Hilltoppers

The Luther Prep Phoenix will take on the Catholic Central Hilltoppers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Luther Prep will be strutting in after a win while Catholic Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Luther Prep's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Waterloo by a score of 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Phoenix.

Luther Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Martin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Living Word Lutheran.

Luther Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Catholic Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
