Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vinton County). They blew past the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes 68-43 on Monday. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Defeat or not, Nelsonville-York got some senior leadership from Megan Booth and Alayna Okulich. Booth went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks, while Okulich went 6 for 11 en route to 14 points and seven boards. Booth has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madi Pidcock, who posted ten points.

Vinton County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Nelsonville-York, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Vinton County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-36 defeat against Alexander on the 16th. As for Nelsonville-York, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-20 win against Meigs on the 16th.
