It was another big night for Baylor Schanski, who rushed for 226 yards and two scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Those 226 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Schanski was just one part of a punishing run game: East Lansing was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Lakeland and Milford, and Lakeland kept the tradition alive. The Eagles took down the Mavericks 45-31 on Friday.

East Lansing's record now sits at 4-5. As for Lakeland, their record is now 7-2.

Everything came up roses for East Lansing against Lakeland in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 35-7 win.
