Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Woodlands

The Roosevelt Sharks will head out on the road to take on the Woodlands Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Roosevelt can't be too happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season away from home last Monday. They fell 6-4 to Edgemont. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Roosevelt couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Woodlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Putnam Valley, falling 4-0.

Roosevelt was able to grind out a solid win over Woodlands when the teams last played back in October of 2023, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sharks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
