Basketball Recap: Westfield Snags Tenth Win in Last 13 Games

Westfield hadn't done well against James Madison recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Westfield Bulldogs came out on top against the James Madison Warhawks by a score of 62-53. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Warhawks are ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westfield is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for James Madison, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Westfield will head out on the road to challenge Oakton at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for James Madison, they will host Centreville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
