Point Loma and Coronado are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Pointers will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Islanders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Point Loma lost to Dos Pueblos on the road by a 62-48 margin. The loss put an end to the Pointers' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Coronado made easy work of Canyon Crest Academy on Wednesday and carried off a 62-40 victory.

Coronado's win came from a few key players Point Loma will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Austin Brown, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 14 points. Ah'Mahn Oliver was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Point Loma fell to 2-1. As for Coronado, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
