J.F. Webb got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in August, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

J.F. Webb had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-10, 15-11.

Despite the defeat, Durham School of the Arts had strong showings from Abigail Schnee, who had 12 assists and four aces, and Kelci Lucas, who had five kills and four digs. Nasiyah Hayes-Palmer also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.
