Softball Recap: Redington Huskies vs. Houston Hawks

Redington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Houston Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-8 on Tuesday.

Rylee Daw was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Rylee Lyon was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Redington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Houston, their record is now 3-8.

Coincidentally, Redington and Houston will both be playing Non Varsity Opponent the next time they take the field. The Hawks will host Non Varsity Opponent at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Huskies will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
