Volleyball Recap: Hockaday Comes Up Short

Hockaday came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Rockwall Yellowjackets. The Daisies have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-21.

Leading Rockwall to victory were Bradi Weideman and Harper Barnett. Weideman had 11 digs and three aces, while Barnett had 21 assists. Those 11 digs gave Weideman a new career-high. Alayah Wilson also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Hockaday's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rockwall, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Yellowjackets beat Hockaday by a score of 3-0 later that day.
