Cardinal Newman had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Lake Worth Christian Defenders as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Defenders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lake Worth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Newman will take on Suncoast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Worth Christian, they will challenge Palm Beach Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
