Basketball Recap: Golden Plains' Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Golden Plains's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They strolled past Christian Family Educators with points to spare, taking the game 54-38. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading Golden Plains to victory were Josh Rath and Dylan Wark. Rath dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Wark went 6 for 14 on his way to 14 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Wark has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Garcia, who posted six points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Golden Plains was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Golden Plains' victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Christian Family Educators, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Golden Plains has already played their next matchup, a 53-44 win against Western Plains on the 4th. Christian Family Educators does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
