Basketball Recap: Teutopolis Takes a Loss

If Teutopolis was feeling good fresh off their 58-34 takedown of New Berlin last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes took a hard 55-40 fall against the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans on Tuesday. The Wooden Shoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Teutopolis' loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Teutopolis will take on Tuscola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they will face off against Pontiac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
