Basketball Recap: Mercer County's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Mercer County came into Monday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Farmington Farmers by a score of 50-41 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mercer County's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15. As for Farmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Mercer County will head out to square off against Monmouth-Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Monmouth-Roseville has lost three straight at home , while Mercer County has lost five on the road.
