Wesson strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Lumberton Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cobras also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

BP Robbins threw for 26 yards. Damarion Smith was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Wesson's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lumberton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wesson will venture away from home to challenge Lawrence County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cobras will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lumberton, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Perry Central at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
