Monroe Area unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 4-2 to the Social Circle Redskins on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Purple Hurricanes in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now lost five in a row.

The win made it two in a row for Social Circle and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe Area will challenge Ola at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Social Circle, they will face off against Morgan County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
