Football Recap: Doherty Spartans vs. Loveland Red Wolves
Doherty and Loveland squared off in some playoff action on Sunday, but Doherty had to settle for second. They were dealt a 45-14 loss at the hands of the Loveland Red Wolves.
Although Doherty took the loss, they still got scores from Leland Frescaz and Brody Noll.
Leading Loveland to victory were Deon Christopher and Ryder Eastin. Christopher gained 196 total yards and two touchdowns, while Eastin rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Christopher also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Loveland is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-6 otherwise.
Doherty's defeat dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Loveland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.
