Basketball Recap: Hart Takes a Loss

If Hart was feeling good fresh off their 78-43 takedown of Mesrobian last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hart Hawks received a blow on Friday as they fell 57-39 to the Golden Valley Grizzlies. The Hawks have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Golden Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donovan Webb, who went 8 for 16 en route to 19 points. The game was Webb's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Villejo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Hart's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Golden Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Hart is taking a road trip to take on Saugus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Golden Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Royal at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Golden Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season.
