Soccer Game Preview: Holy Cross vs. Eastern

The Holy Cross Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Eastern Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holy Cross is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Monday. Holy Cross fell 5-3 to Bullitt Central.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Eastern made sure to put some goals up on the board against Henry County on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 7-0 shutout. Considering Eastern's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Eastern, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-8-1.

Holy Cross came up short against Eastern in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, falling 4-2. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
