Softball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Harpeth Indians, falling 7-1.

Addison Myers put in work while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Myers was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Harpeth, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.

Looking ahead, Franklin will face off against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something Franklin will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Harpeth, they will challenge Portland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harpeth is facing Portland at the right time seeing as Portland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
