Soccer Game Preview: Mount Pleasant vs. Howard

Mount Pleasant has gone 6-1 against Howard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Green Knights will face off against the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. Mount Pleasant has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 22.

Mount Pleasant fell victim to Middletown and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Howard). Everything went their way against St. Elizabeth on Wednesday as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Howard and bumps their season record up to 4-5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two contests. As for Mount Pleasant, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-2.

Mount Pleasant beat Howard by a goal in their previous meeting back in August of 2023, winning 3-2. Will the Green Knights repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
