Football Recap: Dominion Christian Comes Up Short

Dominion Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 45-34 to the Walker Wolverines. Even if the Knights couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Walker's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ian Hall, who threw for 259 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 259 passing yards gave Hall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Barjon, who gained 51 total yards and two touchdowns.

Dominion Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Walker, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Dominion Christian will take on Skipstone Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walker, they will challenge King's Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
