Basketball Game Preview: Maxwell Panthers vs. Los Molinos Bulldogs

Maxwell is 1-9 against Los Molinos since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Maxwell Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Los Molinos Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m.

Maxwell is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 55-21 defeat at the hands of Lower Lake.

Despite the loss, Maxwell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Joceline Montero posted eight points and three blocks.

While Los Molinos didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Plumas Charter by a score of 34-23 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Los Molinos, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Maxwell came up short against Los Molinos when the teams last played back in February, falling 36-32. Can Maxwell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
