Football Recap: Loyola Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Loyola fell victim to Chaminade and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The shutout was out of character for the Cubs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Gavin Grabe threw for 58 yards on four of nine attempts. Tobias Thuss was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards. On the ground, Kane Casani rushed for 56 yards.

Leading Chaminade to victory were Cameron Blackman and Beau Lindus. Blackman rushed for 92 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries, while Lindus picked up 122 receiving yards and two TDs. The Eagles are undefeated when Blackman posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 2-4 otherwise.

Loyola now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Chaminade, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
