Preview: Springlake-Earth Wolverines vs. Happy Cowboys
The Springlake-Earth Wolverines will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Happy Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Springlake-Earth's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
Springlake-Earth scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Kress for the full four quarters, racking up a 96-52 win at home. Springlake-Earth has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jj Jaramillo, who scored 37 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Tovar, who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Happy had to suffer through a rough 66-36 loss at the hands of Nazareth.
Springlake-Earth is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Happy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.
Springlake-Earth was able to grind out a solid win over Happy when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 60-47. Does Springlake-Earth have another victory up their sleeve, or will Happy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
