Basketball Recap: Marcus Takes a Loss

Marcus lost to Coppell back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Marauders fell 76-69 to the Cowboys. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Marauders still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Marcus and nudges their season record down to 16-15. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Coppell, their victory bumped their record up to 22-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marcus is set to challenge their familiar foe Lewisville at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Coppell will face off against rival Hebron at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
