Baseball Game Preview: Northland Pines Eagles vs. Hurley Northstars

The Northland Pines Eagles will head out to square off against the Hurley Northstars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Northland Pines came up short against Medford and fell 7-4.

Northland Pines saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonah Will, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Will is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Davis Beyer was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Hurley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Wright on Monday. The Northstars were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Red Devils. Considering the Northstars have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory got Hurley back to even at 7-7. As for Northland Pines, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

Northland Pines skirted past Hurley 11-9 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
