Basketball Game Preview: Roxboro Community Bulldogs vs. Voyager Academy Vikings

Roxboro Community is 0-10 against Voyager Academy since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Roxboro Community Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Voyager Academy Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

Back in December of 2024, Roxboro Community was beaten by Vance Charter 67-39. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Roxboro Community had strong showings from John Little, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards, and Mason Clark, who posted 11 points and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Fish, who earned five points.

Meanwhile, Voyager Academy earned a 68-61 win over Apex on Monday.

Roxboro Community better keep an eye on Will Cameron. He was instrumental in Voyager Academy's win, going 8 of 18 on his way to 21 points along with eight boards and four steals. Those 21 points gave Cameron a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Green, who put up ten points and seven rebounds.

Voyager Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Roxboro Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Roxboro Community suffered a grim 88-67 defeat to Voyager Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Roxboro Community, Dwight Anderson (who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
