Baseball Game Preview: El Camino Colts vs. South San Francisco Warriors

The El Camino Colts will square off against the South San Francisco Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Camino will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

While El Camino's victory against Mission wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. El Camino skirted past Mission 4-3. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Quentin Bromaghim spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, El Camino saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas Jang, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Rocco Bromaghim also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, South San Francisco came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Aztecs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since April 1, 2024.

El Camino's record is now 3-6. As for South San Francisco, their record now sits at 6-3.

El Camino came up short against South San Francisco when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 10-7. Can El Camino avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
