Baseball Recap: New Rochelle Has No Trouble Against Ossining

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Rochelle). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Ossining Pride on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Huguenots in their matchups with the Pride: they've now won three in a row.

New Rochelle got a great performance from Tino Riviello as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Justin Maffucci was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryder Proudian, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

New Rochelle now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ossining, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Rochelle will head out to face off against Mount Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on the 25th. As for Ossining, they will venture away from home to square off against Walter Panas at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
