Yerington was forced to take a big loss against they on Friday, they got the better of them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Battle Mountain Longhorns with a sharp 17-9 victory. Considering the Lions have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Casey Bobrick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on 12 hits.

At the plate, Yerington got a massive performance out of Amaree Savage, who went 5-for-6 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits Savage has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Conway, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Yerington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Yerington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Battle Mountain, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 15-4 record.
