Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Platte County). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Raytown Bluejays on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Platte County pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Raytown, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Platte County beat the Bluejays by a score of 16-1 later that day.
