Volleyball Recap: Blue River Valley's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games + How To Watch

It was a good run, but Blue River Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 3-1 to the Cowan Blackhawks. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackhawks earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Blue River Valley had strong showings from Bekah Grim, who had 15 digs and two aces, and Kayla McQueen, who had ten digs. Grim is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Cowan can attribute much of their success to Taylor Young, who had 12 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Young has posted since back in September.

Blue River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Cowan, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-15.

Blue River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cowan, they will face off against Northfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
