Basketball Recap: Ottawa's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak at Home

Ottawa entered their match against Osage City on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Ottawa Cyclones took a hard 57-39 fall against the Osage City Indians. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Indians are ranked 13th).

Ottawa's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3. As for Osage City, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Ottawa will be playing at home against Eudora on Friday. As for Osage City, they will face off against Northern Heights at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Osage City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Northern Heights likes a good challenge.
