Recap: Cheatham County Central Cubs vs. Stewart County Rebels
There's no place like home for The Cheatham County Central Cubs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Stewart County 56-7 at home. The victory was just what Cheatham County Central needed coming off of a 41-15 defeat in their prior match.
Among those leading the charge was Patrick Kelly, who rushed for 25 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Tydarius Bright, who gained 93 total yards and three touchdowns.
Cheatham County Central's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Stewart County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheatham County Central will take on Lawrence County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lawrence County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Stewart County, they will be playing at home against Sycamore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
