Softball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emma Gochenour and Paige Geller Lead North Creek to Victory

North Creek was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Sammamish on Friday. The Jaguars never let the RedHawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jackey Boschee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, North Creek let Paige Geller and Emma Gochenour run wild. Geller went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Gochenour went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Geller has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Cayle Key was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

North Creek's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Sammamish, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
