Baseball Recap: Lansdowne Victorious

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Lansdowne brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Dundalk Owls on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won three in a row.

David Eastlake was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eastlake was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.

In other batting news, Derek Ervin was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Bryan, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lansdowne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
