Football Recap: Rockhurst Takes Down Ranked Olathe North + How To Watch

Rockhurst is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Olathe North. The Hawklets put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 35-14 win. Fans of the Hawklets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Rockhurst was led to victory by Blake Thomas and Cash Lewandowski. Thomas gained 100 total yards and two touchdowns, while Lewandowski rushed for 81 yards and one TD on only ten carries. What's more, Thomas racked up 54 receiving yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Cruz Lewandowski got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Rockhurst didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Lewandowski, Peter Nickson, and Sheldon Kight picked up one apiece. Lewandowski got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Olathe North lost, don't look at Blaise Adger. Despite the final result, he rushed for 153 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.

The victory (which was Rockhurst's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average this season. As for Olathe North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
