Cordova waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Cordova who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10.

Camila Vargas paced Cordova's offense, picking up two kills. Vargas got some help from Isabelle Nothstine and her two assists. Willow Tiedeman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Cordova's win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Cordova has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Birchwood Christian on the 26th. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Rigby on the 26th.
