Softball Recap: North Ridgeville Beats Elyria for Their Fourth Straight Win

North Ridgeville entered their tilt with Elyria on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 13-4 win. The Rangers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Naomi Bottomlee made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Paige Piccolomini was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Bella Kucirek also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

North Ridgeville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Elyria, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, North Ridgeville will challenge Berea-Midpark at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Elyria, they will host Keystone at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pioneers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
