Flag Football Game Preview: Valor Christian Eagles vs. Ralston Valley Mustangs + Official Tickets

The Valor Christian Eagles will head out to face off against the Ralston Valley Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Valor Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: The Classical Academy, who was ranked seventh at the time (Valor Christian was ranked ninth). The Eagles came out on top against the Titans on Thursday by a score of 33-21 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ralston Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Columbine on Wednesday, taking the game 18-6. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Valor Christian better keep an eye on Ashlyn Callahan. She was instrumental in Ralston Valley's win, rushing for 83 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 68 receiving yards.

Ralston Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off nine passes before the game was over. Savi Dorotik led the group effort, picking up five of those interceptions all by herself. Callahan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Valor Christian's record is now 9-5. As for Ralston Valley, their record now sits at 12-2.

Valor Christian and Ralston Valley were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in September, but Valor Christian suffered an agonizing 13-12 loss. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Callahan, who rushed for 52 yards and one score on only five carries, and also caught one TD.
