Classical proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Coventry Oakers. The Purple haven't had any issues with the Oakers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Classical was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-6.

Classical's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Coventry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Classical will head out to take on Cranston East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbolts will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Purple surely won't give up without a fight. As for Coventry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Smithfield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Oakers are facing the Northmen at the right time seeing as the Northmen are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
