Baseball Game Preview: Iola Bulldogs vs. Milano Eagles

For the second straight game, Iola will face off against Milano. Iola will head out on the road to take on Milano at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Iola's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Milano's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Milano will be up against a hot Iola team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Iola skirted past Milano 4-2.

Brody Vaughn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Iola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Roubion, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Iola's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Milano, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1.
