While Lafayette's victory against Pontotoc wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Commodores had just enough and edged out the Warriors 3-2 on Tuesday. The Commodores haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lafayette was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-12, 15-11.

Defeat or not, Pontotoc got some senior leadership from Sara Campos and Madi Collums. Campos had 16 digs, while Collums had 17 assists.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Pontotoc, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13-1.

Lafayette has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Caledonia on the 18th. As for Pontotoc, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against West Point on the 18th.
