Soccer Recap: Wissahickon Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Wissahickon and William Tennent, and William Tennent kept the tradition alive. The Trojans fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Wissahickon were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as William Tennent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Wissahickon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for William Tennent, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wissahickon will venture away from home to face off against Springfield Township at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for William Tennent, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Upper Moreland at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
