Softball Recap: Chartiers Valley Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Chartiers Valley and West Allegheny, and West Allegheny kept the tradition alive. The Colts fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Colts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Lily Duffill was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Chartiers Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for West Allegheny, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chartiers Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe South Fayette at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Allegheny will take on rival Moon Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
