Baseball Recap: Whiteland Warriors vs. Plainfield Quakers
Whiteland proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Plainfield Quakers 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since May 11, 2024.
Whiteland got a great performance from Peyton Wingfield as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off ten hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Wingfield a new career-high.

At the plate, Blake Riddle was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
