The Las Animas Trojans will head out to challenge the Rye Thunderbolts at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Animas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Las Animas is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fowler just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rye had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Falcons.

Max Rocha was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Grant Clennin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Rye's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Las Animas, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Las Animas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .364. However, it's not like Rye struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Las Animas came out on top in a nail-biter against Rye in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
